I watched a cloud blow away from me,
I knew it was far and fast.
But the cloud kept on growing and convinced me to be
Coming much closer and vast.
An illusion that swells with power and might,
A story of God and his way,
Lightning was dimmed by darkness of night
With promise of lightness of day.
How far will a cloud keep on blowing?
How long must a storm rage and writhe,
To appear again to be growing
On horizons between God and I?
How many more suns will rise in the sky?
How many more nights must I wait,
For a cloud to grow so mighty and high
For a man who’s lost all but his faith?
